21 months

Ezra is in full character these days in all its two-something glory. He throws anything he gets his paws on, repeats every last syllable the slips out of your mouth, and proudly mimics his brother's movements (much to his shagrin).

Ezra's language has leaped forward this month. He now says "I'm thirsty." or "I want it. Water." It's reminiscent of how I learned romantic languages with the object being stated at the end of the sentence. Tonight he told me "Mimi, read this book to me."

Yes, Mimi. It's a name that at least in the short-term is synonymous with Mama. I love it. I knew a woman whose grandma name was Mimi and I admired it. Now that they've discovered it on their own it might stick. It all started with "my mommy" and "my mommy's milk" wars between the boys during the day. Ezra called it "mimi milt". And so it was - and is.

A huge milestone on Ezra's end is his tumbling: he can do a somersault! It's crazy and exciting and I got video of it tonight. I promise to post it soon. He's quite proficient. It's been in the works for a few weeks now but I didn't expect it to be so ... correct. Might just have a future gymnast in our house. So fun to watch it unfold.
