18 + 19

How dare I neglect the 18-month notables? Ezra is already 19 months and his two biggest achievements the past few months are short phrases/commands/sentences and running. He has really started chatting up a storm. He sings to himself, bobbing his head from side to side. I just love the contrasting personalities in our house. It's fun. He's definitely got the McAndrews temperament. For those who grew up with it, they can appreciate the intensity with which he lives.

His measurements at his 18-month well visit were 32 3/4 inches long, 28 # 6 oz. He's slightly taller than average and definitely heavier. We think he's got John's stature.

His main phrases he's been saying over the past few weeks:
Papa bump (his first two-word sentence a few months ago when looking at a photo of John on cross-country skis after falling)
Window down (in the car, of course)
Water Me (hands down the best first sentence. It's more like Water. Me.)
Shoes off, shoes on
Boots off
Jacket off (da ket off)
Run fast
Dangle down or Feet dangle down (dane dil dow)
Mama sit down
Choo choo train
Yogurt straw (dodurt draw)
Downstairs
shovel
Pershing Park

He'll also say things like Dada sad (when Jonah's upset) or dada bump if he bumped his head. He says so many words, too many to record. Ezra is among them, "Ezha" and Minneapolis (min ne aplis).

during their bathtime craze, he was totally into goggles.

sweet cuddles during his weekend fever.

he *refuses* to sit in a high chair anymore. Flat out. Refuses.
