Seventeen

Ezra is seventeen months. He motors around at top speed. He is on the verge of running, and will thrust himself forward as fast as possible when you start chasing him around our racetrack - through the kitchen and then back down and around via the hallway. It is a giggly, giddy adventure that captivates everyone who is home at the time.

His language is also progressing at top speeds. He is saying more and more two syllable words like chocolate (dat dit), upstairs, bathtime, bubble bath, marble (marml), yogurt (dodurt). He is so very close to pronouncing Jonah it is the sweetest. He continues to pronounce it either Nona or Dah-duh. Mama is a catch-all which sometimes means he wants me but usually it is how he gets my attention, and thus he's able to nurse.

One sweet thing he does often if we don't understand him is he'll grab our finger and pull us along until he can show us what he wants. He also has continued - almost to an extreme - to nod in agreement. I am finally getting this on video and will upload a video in another week or two. It is really engaging and entertaining, and looks a bit painful for us older folks with the crooked neck.

It is true that I have almost zero photos from this past month. I will do better and get some shots up soon.
