On the Verge of Verticality

Ezra is making a move these days. He puts together 2-4 steps at a time, mostly for a highly coveted toy or food item. Of course, the proficiency of crawling always supersedes any significant toddle but he's getting the idea. It's so fun to watch.

And, his vocabulary is growing by the day. He must be learning a few new words a day it seems. "Words" might be a bit of an exaggeration - they are more like muffled sounds with a few exceptions. He says "off" perfectly, given his affection of turning lights on and off wherever he can reach them. He now says "bye" with a wave, and is starting to say something like a "hi". He learned "owie" last night when Jonah accidentally closed our garbage drawer on his finger.

He is at a really fun age. I treasure these early toddler months, when so much is coming together for him and he's able to express it in more ways everyday.
