Fifteen

Ezra turned fifteen months December 12, the day of our bustling Open House party. It was a great way to celebrate the season - and our growing baby. He is quickly turning into what his cousins call a "danger baby". He loves to toddle around holding outlet plugs in his hands, or better yet a balloon that has not yet been inflated. On the flip side, he keeps Jonah busy, curious and engaged much more than even a month ago; their relationship has taken a turn in a positive direction for which we are all grateful. It is enjoyable to see them giggle together at mealtimes and be playful a few times a day.

He is walking and just about thinking of the run at this point. He rarely crawls unless he is truly exhausted. He talks more and more in his toddler language which would sound more like plain consonants or vowels to those who don't live here: wot=walk, dot=chocolate, ters=thirsty, wawa=water. He is learning new words everyday though my capacity to record them accurately is not the greatest at the moment.

Something that is precious is his capacity to say his friend's names. He pronounces many of them perfectly like 'evva' and 'evie', while he's just barely stringing two consonants to sound out 'oscar'. I heard 'tessa' a few times while we were in California. We still think he calls jonah 'dada' and when you ask him to say his name he doesn't budge. We've heard 'nona' a few times but it wasn't repeated so it must have been an experiment.
