Birthday Boy

We made it through the first year! What a roller coaster ride it was this time around. Ezra was fussy, mama was depressed, Jonah wasn't excited about either of those things, and Daddy was the glue that held on tight to each of us.

Thankfully, one year later we are all stronger for it. Ezra is as charming as ever with his big, sweet smile that he shares with anyone who gives him attention. He is pulling up and cruising, gaining strength for the imminent bipedalism. He climbs the stairs at top speed, so fast that just last week I practically blinked and he was upstairs bouncing in Jonah's bed!

He uses his sign language, mostly more and water (which is the most adorable hand rubbing across the mouth with sound effects). He says "Mah" when he's really motivated by something like chocolate. He also says Dada and Mama, occasionally when actually seeing us first. Mostly, he squawks and we jump, guessing what that high pitch means.

We are all enjoying being a family of four. We are so grateful for family, for our lives are so much richer now that we are parents.
